Examine Yourselves

I Corinthians 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

If we correctly and Biblically judge ourselves and our lives, and live Biblically, we will not have to be judged by God or by others.

(Outline from Pastor/Evangelist Randy Chovan):

Am I in the faith? In other words, am I a genuine Christian?

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Am I living my life the way the Lord wants and commands me to? Am I in fellowship with the Lord?

1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Do I have daily devotions?

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Do I harbor any bitterness?

Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Bitterness in a believer definitely hurts his testimony and others.

Do I have any unconfessed sin in my life?

Psalms 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
